FTI Consulting Introduces Ringtail Legal 2005

Major Release Focused on Meeting Complex Litigation Technology Needs of Large Firms, Corporations, and Government Agencies

FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN), the premier provider of corporate finance/restructuring, forensic/litigation/technology, and economic consulting, today introduced Ringtail Legal 2005, the companyfs next generation of web-based case management technology for complex litigation. Ringtail Legal 2005, FTI Consultingfs first major product release since its acquisition of Ringtail Solutions earlier this year, introduces significant feature enhancements on the previous Ringtail CaseBook product, as well as underlying architectural changes to improve speed, security and ease of administration.

Ringtail Legal 2005 replaces the CaseBook product line. The new product provides clients with improved performance, workflow customization, and critical functionality, in addition to existing benefits realized in current Ringtail CaseBook versions „Ÿ anywhere, anytime web access to all case-related data; extensive collaboration and information sharing among internal, external and third-party users; and a proven security model.

In order to assure a smooth product rollout and deliver a product that resonates with client and market demand, FTI has involved several high profile clients in the product development and testing process and garnered client input throughout the two-year development phase. Ringtail Legal 2005 will be introduced to the broader client base via industry events such as Legal Tech West Coast in late June and ILTAfs 28th Annual Educational Conference in August.

Increased efficiency through the development of better tools

Ringtail Legal 2005 includes several architectural enhancements and significant new features:

Enhanced Graphical User Interface (GUI): The GUI has been significantly improved in functional power, efficiency and markedly reduced user navigation to access the key areas of the application. The new web-browser based Ringtail Desktop enables users to re-organize data on-screen and save preferred views as well as allowing unprecedented customization of the user interface;

Improved scalability: Ringtail is recognized as a leader in terms of scalability and performance for legal cases. The new product significantly improves upon the previous benchmarks and gives clients confidence that they can support the increasing scale and complexity of legal cases; Extended Native File Review and Content Searching: Powerful new content searching renders search results in HTML format while retaining the native files for review. Over 250 file types are supported including all the common electronic document types such as .Microsoft Office, Word Perfect, Adobe PDF, Tiff Imaged files, etc.;

Advanced Search & Reports: The underlying search mechanism has been completely overhauled to improve speed and scale. The Advanced Search & Report System introduces a more powerful approach to displaying search results and reports through new cached searching and multi-column sorting;

Industry Leading Document Security: Increased document security will provide a sophisticated and manageable control over all aspects of cases, documents, application functions and user access. The Ringtail three tier architecture has been enhanced to support an external security model that guards against a variety of potential attacks and security exposures;

Foreign Language Support: Ringtail now includes a language data dictionary that allows users to customize the application GUI to support multiple languages or vertical market vernacular.
