FTI Consulting Hires New Senior Managing Directors Donald Walker and Linda A. MacDonald

FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN), the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organizations protect and enhance their enterprise value, announced today the hiring of key additions to its Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice. Donald Walker and Linda A. MacDonald have both joined as Senior Managing Directors.
Donald Walker, CPA, joins FTI as a Senior Managing Director where he will assist FTI's counsel and corporate clients who are seeking advice and guidance in the wide range of SEC accounting and reporting areas, as well as provide consulting and testifying expert services. Mr. Walker joins FTI after 17 years of service at the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where he was a Senior Assistant Chief Accountant in the Division of Corporation Finance. In his role, Mr. Walker was responsible for resolving technical accounting, financial reporting and disclosure issues, primarily in the financial services industry. Mr. Walker also worked closely with the Commission's Office of the Chief Accountant, the Division of Enforcement, and the federal banking regulators, as well as outside counsel and companies' independent auditors. He has directed the SEC staff's examinations of consumer products companies, mining companies, business service companies and chemical manufacturers, as well as electronics and medical products.
Prior to joining the SEC staff, Mr. Walker was an auditor at the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Walker is presently an adjunct professor of accounting in Georgetown University's L.L.M. and J.D. programs. Mr. Walker earned an A.B. from Amherst College and an M.B.A. from The Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. He will work from FTI's Washington, D.C. office.
Linda A. MacDonald, CPA, also joins FTI as a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment. Ms. MacDonald's nearly 25 years of diverse professional experience gives her a unique perspective in working with clients to identify, understand and solve critical financial accounting and reporting issues facing companies today. Ms. MacDonald joined FTI after nearly 12 years at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), where she was a director. In her role as director and before that project manager, Ms. MacDonald was involved in establishing U.S. accounting standards and coordinated with the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) in London on convergence with international accounting standards (IFRS).
Prior to serving on FASB, she was a member of the staff of the Division of Enforcement of the SEC in Washington, D.C., where she provided litigation consulting services on SEC enforcement investigations, criminal investigations, shareholder litigation involving accounting and reporting issues, financial fraud and securities fraud. Ms. MacDonald began her career as an auditor for a national public accounting firm (now Deloitte & Touche, LLP) and held positions with national public accounting firms. Ms. MacDonald, a certified public accountant, has been a frequent speaker on accounting topics and is a former member of the Technical Standards Subcommittee of the AICPA Ethics Committee. She holds an M.B.A. in finance from American University and a B.A. in economics and management from Albion College. Ms. MacDonald will work from FTI's New York office.
