FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN), a premier provider of problem-solving consulting and technology services to major corporations, financial institutions and law firms, today announced that Eric Miller, presently a Partner at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, has been appointed General Counsel of FTI, effective May 22, 2006. John MacColl, currently Chief Risk Officer of FTI and former Vice Chairman and General Counsel of St. Paul Travelers, will become Chief Legal and Risk Officer. In addition to his current role overseeing the company's risk management activities, Mr. MacColl will assume ultimate responsibility for all legal matters. Dianne Sagner, currently FTI's General Counsel will be assuming the position of Associate General Counsel, focusing on all legal aspects of the daily operations of the business.

Mr. Miller has been a Partner at the law firm of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary for the past 11 years, where he concentrated on corporate restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Miller started at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary (then Piper & Marbury) in 1985. Mr. Miller holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and received his B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University with honors. In his new role, Mr. Miller will report directly to John MacColl.
