WASHINGTON, May 14, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE:FCN) today announced that FTI Consulting and its Compass Lexecon subsidiary were recognized as firm of the year in four categories at the annual Who’s Who Legal Awards ceremony in London.
FTI Consulting was honored in the following categories:
- Consulting Firm of the Year
- Arbitration Consulting Firm of the Year
- Investigations Forensic Accounting Firm of the Year
Compass Lexecon was recognized as Competition Economics Firm of the Year.
FTI Consulting and Compass Lexecon are the only firms to receive the Arbitration Consulting Firm of the Year and Competition Economics Firm of the Year honors each year since they were introduced in 2015. FTI Consulting also is the only firm to receive the Consulting Firm of the Year honor since the accolade was introduced in 2017. The awards were given based on Who’s Who Legal research and performance in jurisdictions around the world compared to peer firms.

Using data reported by GAR 100 law firms from 2015 to 2017, the index assesses the average and median size of international arbitration claims handled by 28 expert firms and weighs the number of appearances at hearings, the number of experts featured in GAR’s Who’s Who Legal Expert Witness list and the number of professionals voted as Thought Leaders in industry surveys. Compass Lexecon ranked first in the median value of claims, at USD$600 million, while FTI Consulting led all firms on the index in the number of hearings, with 72.
