(NYSE: FCN) today announced that four professionals have been named to The M&A Advisor’s Ninth Annual Emerging Leaders Awards list, which recognizes M&A, financing and turnaround professionals under 40 for their accomplishments in business and service to the community.
Ana Heeren, a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment, was recognized in the Marketing, Communication and Business Development Professional category. Senior Managing Directors Dan Hugo and Mark Laber and Managing Director Liz Park of the firm’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment were honored in the Service Professional category.

Based in Washington, D.C., Ms. Heeren leads a multi-disciplinary offering that provides communications support to clients with cross-regional interests between Latin America and the United States. She leads a number of complex, cross-border and multi-cultural mandates — often in multiple languages — that require nuanced omni-channel advocacy programs, multi-tiered media strategies and a variety of traditional and digital assets, ensuring stakeholders receive the appropriate messages to support clients’ underlying objectives.
Based in Chicago, Mr. Hugo is a member of FTI Consulting’s Turnaround & Restructuring Services practice. He has more than 15 years of experience in turnaround, restructuring, corporate finance and interim management across multiple industries, including retail, transportation, construction, government contracting, banking, distribution, manufacturing, homebuilding, horticulture and metals.
Based in New York, Mr. Laber focuses on advising the steering committees and official creditor committees of distressed companies. His restructuring engagements have involved public and private companies in a variety of industries, including energy, for-profit education, grocery, homebuilding, manufacturing, media, oil field services, pulp and paper, retail, restaurant and technology.
Based in New York, Ms. Park focuses on providing financial and restructuring advisory services to distressed companies and creditors both in- and out-of-court. Her restructuring experience spans a wide range of industries, including financial services, automotive, manufacturing, technology, retail, energy, oil and gas and municipalities.
Winners will be honored during the Emerging Leaders Awards gala at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan on September 14.
