Mr. Thomas is the Co-Leader of FTI Consulting'sIntellectual Property practice. He has more than 25 years of experience assisting companies and clients with complex economic and valuation issues and focuses on the assessment of damages in matters involving various types of intellectual property. Over the course of his career, Mr. Thomas has provided expert testimony in hundreds of matters in state and federal courts across the country as well the International Trade commission. He also holds several valuation credentials and has significant experience valuing patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
Dr. Prowse is a Ph.D economist with over 20 years of experience in providing economic, financial and valuation analysis to companies. He specializes in assessing economic damages in intellectual property matters, including patent infringement, copyright, false advertising and trade secrets cases. He has calculated reasonable royalties, lost profits, lost convoyed sales, damages through price erosion and unjust enrichment, and has performed price elasticity of demand studies in such cases. Dr. Prowse has performed such analyses in hundreds of disputes and has provided expert testimony in state and federal courts across the country as well as in international and domestic arbitration matters. He has also directed numerous valuation projects related to patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets.
